- Is there an on-line document containing a technical discussion of modem
- negotiation? The faqs I've found so far are practical how-to and
- what-to-buy guides, but I need to know exactly what the modems are saying
- to each other and why.
-
- Second question: If 2 USR 33.6 modems are talking to each other, is the
- limiting speed determined by phone line quality or by something else
- entirely?
-
- TIA,
- Bev bashley@ktb.net

- As long as there is an on-line help function, it is generally possible,
- by judicious experimentation with reasonable alternatives,
- to hang the system.
