  11. Is there an on-line document containing a technical discussion of modem
  12. negotiation?  The faqs I've found so far are practical how-to and
  13. what-to-buy guides, but I need to know exactly what the modems are saying
  14. to each other and why.

  16. Second question:  If 2 USR 33.6 modems are talking to each other, is the
  17. limiting speed determined by phone line quality or by something else
  18. entirely?
